We were lucky enough to see this red squirrel raiding the nut feeders at a bird hide in the forest. He was quite far away and, although the camera's zoom is pretty good, it does make for a slightly blurry shot.
We'll go again in the hope of a closer view but probably without the dogs. They did not see the appeal of sitting in a rather empty wooden shed whilst we peered through binoculars at wildlife they couldn't see.
Jana made it quite plain that it was definitely not how gundogs spot their birds.

Good shots - years since i've seen a red squirrel. Used to get them occasionally in Callander.
