Sadly don't get to see any stubble fields where we are these days (Vancouver Island), but I remember those joyous moments from back home in Sussex. But I always thought it looked so painful - maybe that's why they bounce so much - it's not joy, it's a desperate attempt to escape being stabbed by the spikes!!; 4 February 2009 at 17:46
