Instead of the usual colour, here's a black and white photo for a change. I thought I'd join in with Monochrome Monday. Aileni is the host of this meme, visit his blog to see more monos.....probably far more interesting than mine!
This photo of Aberdeen Angus cattle was taken at our local farm shop on a very cold afternoon a few months ago.

What a load of bull!
(I think. I can't see their hindquarters.)
(By the way, the word verification is "cattes", which is close to cattle. I don't know why I felt I had to tell you that, but I did.)
Were you at the coffee shop!!
Yippee, you've joined the Mmmmmmaniacs! That's a great shot, bit steamy but I think you get away with it!
That picture just would not do in colour - it is brilliant. I love it.
We too have looked after cattle on an island so appreciate this more that some might.
You are very welcome to the theme.
They are all trying to get in the picture. Lovely photo!
Wooooh! All steamed up over this wonderful b&w photo!

Just brilliant. A great shot.
What a wonderful photo...love the steam!! And I LOVE your header...fantastic shot of the dogs!! :)
Yay...you have joined the Maniac's...hehe
It does look like it is really cold on that shot.
Nice pic.
Love their steamy breath...cool picture. :)
Awesome! It wouldn't have the same punch in colour!
Happy birthday Wife XXX
Oh, what a fantastic photo! I love cows - they have such beautiful eyes. Whenever we walk near them, they always come up to the fence and look at me...maybe they think I'm a lost calf??
Slobbers,
Honey the Great Dane
Nice picture of my future steak, SORRY
I love the picture! But...farmshop? The cows are at the farm shop? Is that the same as the butcher? Was this their last picture before dinner? The poor unsuspecting buggars - meat hook bound. But I STILL LOVE THIS PHOTO!
Gasp I am depressing...depressed. Shutting up now...sorry.
BCxfour - I know what you mean. Vegetarianism sometimes appeals but I haven't gone down that road yet. At least the cattle at that farm do get to have a pretty good life, however short it is.
