What a delightful bridge (quite apart from the lovely scenery) - but does anybody dare walk over it? I might try to wade through the river to avoid breaking my bones :)

lovely photo - Checkers loved the cat - it's already been destroyed - that's his way of showing love!!!

I have never seen a stone bridge like that, with such an arc. Your picture shows it off so well.

What a lovely shot. I can't imagine a laden horse travelling over it though - it looks such a severe curve.

Hi, guys, I was away for sometime and you are giving me the lead pics of SNOW? Brrrr, I finally get rid of it....just kidding, hehe...
The pic of the bridge is fantastic!

I just love your eye. You take such beautiful shots. And you let me visit a new place every day, along with the dogs. Thank you.

What an interesting bridge. I assume it's not in use anymore. Looks a bit dangerous.

That is beautiful! Exactly where I would like to go for a walk right now...

A lovely shot of a beautiful bridge.

You can no longer go on to this bridge, it has to be admired from a distance. It's quite amazing to think that it was ever in use!

I wish we had such things to photograph here. Infrastructure and architecture are immature by comparison.

Hi. Nice bridge. I had to leave a comment since we have similar avatars (and interests).

I love old bridges like that. I always wonder how something that looks somewhat fragile could be so very strong?

Dragonstar said...

Lovely! So fragile, but such a beautiful arch.

What a stunning, sharply arching bridge! The stone textures look wonderful in contrast with the flowing lines of water!

That is an awesome bridge! Great shot.

I was there for a lovely wedding in around 1990, we took my elderly neighbour from Middlesbrough (late of Inverness) who was an honoured guest - It was wonderful to look upon that bridge!

Wonderful shot! And an amazing Middle Earthy bridge :) it looks quite fragile and precarious though - wonder how much longer it will stand for.

I missed looking at a lot of the monochrome posts last week...just catching up now!
