Perfect! Sunset and still water (it's a pity the sea's probably icy cold!). Thanks for commenting earlier - the mountain is the Cobbler (I only know because my brother told me earlier in the day), I'm on holiday near Arrochar so I see it peaking up behind the other mountains every day :)

Thanks for introducing Moray Firth, it must be such beautiful place. We have only visited Aberdee before and it was almost 30 years ago. Thanks for visiting our blog and nice comment.

Photos of Scotland and Ireland always make my heart ache. My ancestral home calling to my present-day genes, I guess.

Oh MY!! I am in awe of the wonderful sky colors! That is absolutely stunning. It's not something I have witnessed too much around here but because of the immense mountains, we just don't have such a clear expanse to see such beautiful sunsets!!

Nice to discover another Scot on Skywatch! And these Hopeman rocks are oh-so-familiar to me, having grown up 15 miles away. You had better weather for your walk than we did one day last summer: http://slowgrowinginscotland.blogspot.com/2008/08/fallow-period-holidays.html
