We're back in the land of the living..........just!
For reasons known only to itself, the above pictured flu virus (or one very similar to it) has, for nearly the last fortnight, been doing its utmost to help LSH and I to shuffle off this mortal coil. We have beaten it but it certainly put up a fight. I have never experienced such a nasty virus or one that lasted for as long and am quite happy that it'll never get me again.
This must be one of the few households to come out of the festive season actually having lost weight and also to have spent so little as we didn't go anywhere, do anything or eat anything! For someone who likes eating, has practised it for some time and become quite good at it, I found it very strange to find that taking in any food became a real effort. Our appetites are still a bit poor but that won't last, I'm sure.
2009 arrived with absolutely no ceremony in our hot and sweaty sick bed but at least we have survived to see it.......there were times last week when I wasn't so sure that would happen, believe me!........and so I wish all of you a belated Happy (and Healthy) New Year!!

Happy New Year, Sue, Tom and gang!
May you have a virus-free 2009, welcome back to the land of the living :o)
Great picture by the way!
Glad your all feeling better Sue, thought at first it was another of your frost photos.
Happy New Year.
Was a bit worried in case anything had gone wrong with Des or the pups when all was so quiet on the blog, Sue. Very glad that you are both well on the way to a full recovery, and I wish you and yours all the best for 2009.
Which is the virus, the blue thing looking like a sea anemone or the little brown doodlebug?
Glad your'e back and, hopefully, regained your humour!
Glad you are feeling better now! I was most impressed with that "photo" until I discovered it was a microscope one!! Take it you had the weekend off showing then?!
Ahhh, glad you are feeling better!
Nala & Amber
I was obviously much worse than Sue
Glad your all feeling better! A bit of a drastic way to loose weight! Never mind! The walk 'n' cake sessions can resume again!
I was wondering what had happened. There'd been no fur flying across my screen for a couple of weeks, which I eventually realised could mean only one thing: my virtual pets had gone off-line.
